RECIPE: Cocoa Kisses (Meringues) 250 F oven [Mix these ingredients together as you go along.] whip until stiff but not dry: 3 egg whites 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 Cup sifted sugar (to remove lumps) 1 teaspoon vanilla 0-2 teaspoons water* Add half of the suger, then alternate adding liquids and sugar. 3 tablespoons powdered cocoa. optional: 1/4 cup chopped pecans or 1/2 cup chocolate chips Add optionals after cocoa powder is thoroughly mixed in. Preheat oven to 250 F. Spoon meringue in drop shapes onto greased cookie sheets and bake until hard on the outside and still moist within, roughly 15 20 min depending on size.
