4659-03 high-res imageThe big orange 10-gallon barrel cooler had ice-cold pink lemonade all day. In the background you can see the 2-liter bottles sitting out. (Saturday 18-Aug-2007 17:43:22) I filled it three times: I'd put in a bottle of lemonade concentrate, 20 lbs. of ice, and about 3 gallons of water to make about 6 gallons of lemonade. Things to remember next time: put the concentrate in last, not first, so that the first cup drawn isn't goopily strong; and bring a great big spoon or paddle to stir it with. Having the ice chest just for the bags of ice, and the 2 1/2 gallon jugs to fill with, worked well -- I need to bring slightly more jugs of water than concentrate bottles. A 20-lb. bag of ice per fill is about right, and a few extra bags for general use helped. I should print up some signs to tape to it, instead of relying on my duct tape/Sharpie marker signs. I need to either figure out what size cups the cup dispenser takes, or skip bringing the cup dispenser at all. |
