Chaz Boston Baden and Larry Niven. Larry was talking about "stories that everyone does" -- a time travel story, a locked-room murder mystery, a vampire story, et cetera. Chaz suggested that Larry and Fuzzy collaborate on a Regency Romance. It wouldn't have to be set in the Regency period; Bujold's A Civil Campaign is clearly a Regency Romance, even though it's set in the future world of her Vorkosigan saga.
