I met them at the entrance and gave them beignets (in the white paper sacks) and their Disneyland/Calif Adventure tickets, then I went onto work. This was my last act as Loscon 28 chair while wearing my teddy bears -- after this, as far as I was concerned, the convention was over. (Explanation: I wear the ears at conventions, and at some point when the convention is over for me, I take them off. That might be after I've taken a plane home from another town and walked in the front door at home, or it might be as soon as I drive out of the hotel parking lot. It's a personal thing.) Later Monday evening, I went back to the clubhouse to help unload the truck and earn a few of those precious double-time volunteer hour credits. Here we see Christian B. McGuire sweeping out the rental truck.

Ribbons shown: Chair, Staff, Lux Theater, LASFS Member, Galactic Hitchhiker (a reference to the Douglas Adams classic, handed out by Chris our AGOH), Student Science Fiction Contest, Honorary Santa's Gremlin (for donating a toy to the toy drive), Program Participant, Honorary Relative of Lynn Gold. Next year I'll qualify for the "Past Loscon Chair" ribbon. (Tuesday 27-Nov-2001)
