Dear College Park classmates!

How strange it is to read your reminiscences and have so few of my own - or at least so few of the same ones! I have only a vague recollection of a paper drive...Couldn't forget the Beatles records of course. Little gift-wrapped bottles of Yucca Dew for Christmas? I remember that Dori Alguire had a pool and that her hair was always slightly green. Did Sonya have a pool too? I think she did, and it was right over the back fence of College Park? I remember going to Blue Bird/Camp Fire Girls meetings at Linda Maul's house. Making ceramic plates in someone's garage...Getting lost with Terry Walsh (who was my best friend) on that island in Disneyland which almost traumatized Linda's poor mom. FYI, Terry died in a car accident about 20 years ago. She was hit by a drunk driver on El Toro Canyon Road.

Anyone have any current info on Jeff Perrin or Sue Beevers?

I vividly remember Charles Baden singing the Funny Farm song in the auditorium, and his cardboard hand that he raised for a while instead of his real one. (Does anyone remember that? He doesn't!) I have a few memories of Chaz - it must be because he was creative and intelligent and seemed unafraid to express it - that is, to make a fool of himself! - whereas I upheld my cool elementary school persona (!) as much as possible. Later I was to become the type of person who takes risks...

San Francisco, where I ended up, suits me very well - multi-cultural, liberal, Buddhist, arty - or just weird you could say, but certainly a much more nurturing environment for my personality. I have been to many other countries and cultures as well... But OC will always be where I spent the first 16 years of my life - where I come from - and I am glad to hear from you all and hear about your lives. Hearts, Lisa
