If You Can't Stand the Kitchen

The kitchen is starting to come together. Lynn's cleaned all the counters once or twice, the microwave's back, and we've even washed all the dishes. We used to have a spice rack on the side of the cabinet, next to the window, but it's not really a good idea to have the spices exposed to direct sunlight, moisture from the sink and dishwasher, and heat from the stove. We'll find some other place for our most-used spices (like the salt, and the pepper that you can see on the counter there). Our kitchen trash situation isn't under control yet... we have trash bags and office wastebaskets here and there. Also, since this picture was taken, the upper oven door has been fixed.

Our kitchen had a lot of clutter a year ago. (Apr-2000)

This is what the kitchen looked like a year ago. We've relocated that table into the spare room, and probably won't put it back. This will give us more room in the kitchen. (Apr-2000)

Kitchen. These bins contain knickknacks that belong in the living room, clutter that was removed from the dining room, utensils that belong in the kitchen, and unrelated miscellany.
