In 1999, I was invited to Windycon 26 as Fan Guest of Honor. We flew in on Thursday - spent all day in airplanes and airports, and just barely arrived at the Hyatt Woodfield in Schaumburg IL in time for a quick change of clothes before the staff banquet.
