RECIPE: Cinnamon Sauce Ingredients 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup dark corn syrup 1/2 cup water 2 cinnamon sticks, broken in half Preparation Place the sugar, corn syrup, and water in a heavy saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring mixture to a boil and stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the cinnamon sticks and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Cool, then remove cinnamon and place sauce in an airtight container until ready to use. Makes about 1 cup. [The cinnamon sticks in the baking aisle are $4+ per 1-oz. jar.
