Myrrh Mouthwash Boil 1 pint of distilled water. Steep 1 teaspoon ground myrrh and 1 teaspoon boric acid in the water for 30 minutes. Strain. Use cool. Myrrh has tannin, which is the active ingredient. I have been using this for mild gum disease and it has helped tremendously. It does taste pretty bad though. Do not swallow it, just rinse around your gums. Anything with myrrh from the drug/health store would also help, I think. Let me know if you have any questions. -- lynn hazel-lynn@netcom.com
